Terms of use
Last updated: 27 August 2026. By using Gridsong, you agree to these simple terms.
Use
You may use Gridsong for personal and classroom music-making. Do not use it to submit unlawful, abusive, or privacy-invasive content. Teachers are responsible for appropriate classroom use and for choosing student nicknames that do not reveal personal information.
Class galleries
A class pass is a submit-only invitation to a live board. Students who have the pass can send a nickname and song to that board; they cannot browse it. Teachers are responsible for protecting their board key, sharing passes only with the intended class, and removing unsuitable submissions. Galleries expire after 90 days.
Your compositions
You keep your rights to original compositions you make. You are responsible for the links and songs you share and for ensuring your work does not infringe someone else’s rights.
Local storage and availability
Gridsong is provided without an account-based backup. Browser clearing, private-browsing limits, device loss, and expired galleries can remove access to work. Use “Copy song link” or export WAV/MIDI for work you need to keep. The service may change or be unavailable from time to time.
No warranty
The software is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. The site operator is not liable for lost compositions or indirect damages. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
